Job Title: Cheesemaker - 2nd Shift

Location: Platteville, WI

Description: The cheesemaker will be responsible for the making of the cheese at the vats; this will include but is not limited to operation of the cheese make vats, touch screens for control of the vats, and pH meters. They will also need to be able to run the various CIP systems for cleaning the vats, fines saver, EFV’s, curd lines, HTST, barrel line, including the probe stations and whey recovery system.

Experience, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Must be a licensed cheesemaker or have the ability to get a license.
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor sometimes under adverse conditions
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
  • Must be available to work flexible hours and weekends.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate, understand and write in the English language

Hours/Employment Type: Full Time

Salary/Wages: $17/hour
