Description: The Production Supervisor leads and manages the production operation, supports the production team, and ensures the day’s production and related tasks are completed. This includes reviewing orders and resolving operational, process, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and production downtime. The Production Supervisor reports directly to Operations Manager.
It is expected for the Production Supervisor to largely spend their time on the plant floor, supporting the operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
• Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
• Ensure production lines are prepared and fully operational
• Partner with other departments to ensure all areas are in compliance with production, sanitation, quality, and safety processes
• Observe and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), to sustain a safe work environment
• Identify bottlenecks and setup new processes to increase productivity
• Review daily production documentation
• Motivate employees and promote
• Administer disciplinary actions

Experience, Skills and Abilities:

• 4+ Years Dairy Operator (HTST/Separator, Vats, Membrane System, CIP)
• Familiarity with Cheesemaking and General Floor Operations.
• WI Cheesemaker and HTST License Preferred
• High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
• Understanding and familiar with HAACP, SQF, GMPs, and FDA Guidelines
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Ability to display good leadership qualities and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and carry loads of 50+ lbs. necessary

Hours/Employment Type: Production Supervisor will work 4-days/week, every other weekend: 9:00am – 7:00pm. This position will be classified as a non-exempt employee.

Salary/Wages: $70,000
