WCMA Adds Staff as Member Services Grow
The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) is proud to welcome Ellie Herman to its staff as Communications, Education and Policy Coordinator, as the organization’s member services continue to grow.
“WCMA is adding talented staff to serve our members,” said WCMA Executive Director John Umhoefer. “Our industry-specific trainings, workforce recruitment initiatives, communications presence and major events are expanding, and Ellie will help members engage in all these opportunities.”
A 2018 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication, Herman has significant experience managing social media campaigns and organizing events. She started at WCMA on December 2, 2019.
“In just the first few weeks, I’ve learned a lot about the dairy processing industry, and how our work at WCMA can help members grow their businesses and find greater success,” said Herman. “I’m thrilled to put my skills to work toward that purpose.”
WCMA also recently promoted Sara Schmidt to the role of Office and Member Service Manager, running the Association’s scholarship program, elevating its online and print member directory, welcoming new members, and guiding special projects. Schmidt also manages WCMA’s accounting and database systems, and has been with WCMA since August 2018.
