Empower your dairy processing employees to learn from an impressive lineup of talented industry leaders while growing their connections – and your business – with Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association's (WCMA) Advanced Leadership Series, beginning in September. Details, registration, and sponsorship information for this impactful course are available now at WisCheeseMakers.org/Trainings

“As dairy businesses navigate ongoing labor challenges, investing in managers and supervisors who inspire others to achieve their best is key to retaining a quality team. Our top-rated Advanced Leadership Series is tailored to the challenges and opportunities unique to dairy processing, and is designed to foster valuable professional connections,” said WCMA Senior Director of Programs & Policy Rebekah Sweeney.

Over three live, online sessions, the Advanced Leadership cohort will meet and learn from influential leaders in dairy processing as they share their leadership successes and challenges. Throughout the course, participants will also build their professional networks and complete projects to implement and demonstrate their new knowledge.

Each part of the series focuses on a different leadership topic. On Wednesday, September 18, participants will explore ways to drive change and generate positive results; this session features Sarah Schmidt, Vice President of Marketing for Associated Milk Producers Inc. On Wednesday, November 20, the series will offer insights on the development and application of a creative, collaborative problem-solving process, and will include a guest presentation from Jim Natzke, owner of Natzke Consulting. On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, the series will wrap with a session on the tools leaders use to resolve workplace conflict and foster community; Mike Sipple, Vice President of U.S. Manufacturing for Agropur will also present.

Enrollment in the series is limited to just 22 participants to facilitate relationship building. At just $549 per person for the entire series, Advanced Leadership is a cost-effective way to boost your team's productivity and improve collaboration. Plus, all 2024-25 Advanced Leadership graduates will receive a free full registration for CheeseCon 2025, valued at over $600.

Sponsorship of the Advanced Leadership Series is also available now to companies and cooperatives interested in marketing their businesses and showing support for the next generation of dairy processing leaders. Sponsorship benefits include reserved class spaces, recognition in advance promotions and during class sessions, and access to participant lists for follow-up.
