WCMA’s Workforce Committee to Consider Industry Careers Promotional Campaign, Online Jobs Board
The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) invites business leaders and industry human resources professionals to a Workforce Committee meeting set for Tuesday, November 19 from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Grande Cheese Company’s corporate headquarters in Fond du Lac. Lunch will be provided, and those wishing to attend may register now on WisCheeseMakers.org.
“Over the past few years, WCMA has turned its focus to the nationwide workforce shortage, adding tools for members trying to attract qualified new employees and hold on to their best and brightest,” said Rebekah Sweeney, WCMA Communications, Education, and Policy Director. “In 2020, we aim to build on those programs with new outreach to job seekers and to students considering their future career paths.”
The committee’s November 19 agenda includes: the development of a promotional video focused on industry careers; the launch of an industry job listings board on WisCheeseMakers.org; a review of current employee training offerings and discussion of unmet needs; discussion of WCMA's annual Wage & Workforce Survey; and planning for WCMA's Job Fair at CheeseExpo 2020.
Please visit WisCheeseMakers.org to register to attend this meeting by 5 p.m. on Monday, November 11. Questions can be directed to WCMA’s Rebekah Sweeney at rsweeney@wischeesemakers.org or at 608-286-1001.
