We are seeking an analytical, customer-focused Application Specialist based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will provide technical support for new and existing customers in the US market and be a key part of the sales process. You will work in an entrepreneurial environment, making a direct impact on the company.
The ideal candidate will have a science-based education, expertise in spectroscopy, and strong IT skills. Knowledge of analytical chemistry and data work is essential. Excellent communication skills are crucial, as customers are key to Q-Interline's success. You should enjoy working in a dynamic team, with tasks that may change quickly. This role reports to the Business Unit Manager, with 30-50 travel days per year, including trips to Denmark.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Installation of NIR applications in food, dairy and agricultural industries.
• Development and updating of global and customer-specific calibration models.
• Monitoring, support and troubleshooting of NIR installations including hardware and software. Support can be carried out online or at our customer's premises.
• Demonstration of our analytical solutions for at-line and in-line to potential new customers.
• Participation in proof-of-concept projects with customers. 

Experience, Skills and Abilities: 

Your Education & Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, dairy science, engineering or similar field (preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of spectroscopy.
• Alternatively, you have worked in the field in a similar position, where you have gained experience with spectroscopy, NIR technology and chemometrics.
• Strong IT skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Drive and self-motivation. Should be able to work independently with minimal direction. 

Hours/Employment Type: Full Time. This is a hybrid position based in Northwest Milwaukee, WI, with flexibility to work remotely. Salary/Wages: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum. This is a full-time salaried role with benefits.
