Dairy Food Safety Alliance Plans Dynamic Meeting on February 17
A detailed look at critical food safety practices by nationally renowned speakers and a tour of a state-of-the-art dairy processing facility await attendees of the next meeting of the Dairy Food Safety Alliance. Visit WisCheeseMakers.org/Events today to register for the gathering, scheduled for Thursday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m. (CT).
The day begins at the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center in Manitowoc, Wisconsin with a welcome from event hosts the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA), the Center for Dairy Research (CDR), and Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin (DFW). Attendees will then travel to nearby Newton for a tour of Pine River Pre-Pack, Inc. Upon returning to the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center, a networking lunch will precede presentations from Dairy Management, Inc.; the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection; and Hydrite Chemical Company on the latest in food safety research, regulatory practices, and solutions to common food safety issues. After an open discussion forum, the meeting will adjourn at 3:00 p.m. (CT).
“Food safety is foundational to the success of the dairy industry, and it’s an effort that depends on collaboration and information exchange,” said WCMA Executive Director John Umhoefer. “We’re pleased to partner with CDR and DFW to offer a platform for those in the dairy processing industry to share knowledge and work together to ensure the safety of their products.”
The Dairy Food Safety Alliance is designed to deliver the latest updates in food safety to the dairy processing industry. The Alliance meets twice annually, featuring respected government and industry leaders as speakers on food safety regulations, quality assurance, and more.
Participation in Dairy Food Safety Alliance meetings is open to all dairy manufacturers, processors, and related suppliers. Questions may be directed to WCMA Events Manager Kirsten Strohmenger.
