Maximize Trade Show ROI with WCMA Dairy Export Workshop
Learn how to boost your company’s return on investment in foreign trade shows at the next meeting of Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association’s (WCMA) Export Workgroup. Registration is now open at WisCheeseMakers.org for this hybrid event, set for Tuesday, May 23 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. (CT). All dairy manufacturers and processors are welcome to join the workshop in-person in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin or online.
“International demand continues to grow for U.S. dairy products, and WCMA is pleased to support our members’ efforts to make the most of global sales opportunities,” said WCMA Grants & Business Programs Director Danica Nilsestuen. “We know that effective preparation and follow-up are essential to successful trade show participation. In May, we’ll offer insights on how processors can target international buyers and maximize their success in overseas markets.”
The WCMA Export Workgroup meeting features presentations from dairy export leaders, including Sartori Cheese and MCT Dairies, offering a look at their trade show efforts, including how to research markets and select a show, the financial investment involved in attending, what to expect when you arrive, pre- and post-show marketing, effective follow-up, and more.
Participants will also hear the latest in dairy export projections from the U.S. Dairy Export Council, and learn about resources available through Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, Food Export Midwest, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. All presenters will field audience questions during the workshop, and in-person attendees will also enjoy a networking luncheon.
This educational opportunity is funded in part by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. Questions or suggestions for WCMA’s Export Workgroup may be directed to Danica Nilsestuen at dnilsestuen@wischeesemakers.org.
