U.S. Championship Cheese Contest Entry Deadline January 31; Cheese Champion TIckets On Sale Now
MADISON, WI – Records will be broken as the January 31 entry deadline for the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest approaches. Entries can be submitted now online at USChampionCheese.org.
“With new competitors and new categories, the 2019 U.S. Championship Cheese Contest promises to be bigger and better than ever,” said Kirsten Strohmenger, Events Manager for the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association, the Contest host organization.
The U.S. Championship Cheese Contest is set for March 5-7 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. A nationally-renowned team of judges will evaluate thousands of cheese, butter, yogurt, and dry dairy foods entries at the Lambeau Field Atrium on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Thursday, March 7, a new national champion will be named at Cheese Champion, the Contest’s signature public event. This evening reception at the KI Center in Green Bay features a tasting of more than 50 Contest cheeses and craft beer samples. Attendees also have the rare opportunity to learn the intricacies of cheese evaluation from Contest judges.
A limited number of Cheese Champion tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets cost just $30 per person, and are on sale now at USChampionCheese.org.
